Department of Education and Training (DET) School Rules:

All children in N.S.W. Government Schools are expected to:-

Attend every school day, unless they are legally excused, and be in class on time and prepared to
learn.
Show respect at all times for teachers, other school staff and helpers, including following class
rules, speaking courteously and co-operating with instructions and learning activities.
Maintain a neat appearance, including adhering to the requirements of the school's uniform
or dress code policy.
Behave safely, considerately and responsibly, including when travelling to and from school.
Treat one another with dignity and respect.
Care for property belonging to themselves, the school and others.

Behaviour that infringes on the safety of others, such as harassment, bullying and illegal or anti-social
behaviour of any kind, will not be tolerated. (DET 2006)

Playground Supervision:

The school playground is supervised by teacher from 8:30am only.
Prior to this time students should be attending the Before School Care facility 7:30 am - 9:00 am.

All children are to leave the ground promptly at 3:00pm unless in the care of their own parent/caregiver,
or if they are attending After School Care from 3:00 pm - 6:00pm

If you are late collecting your child, please contact the school office. Children are sent to the school office if they have not been collected by 3:13 pm.

Change of Address & Contact Details:

It is important that the school be notified if you change your address, telephone number (at home or at
work), emergency contact details, medical conditions, custody or access orders.
Please notify changes in writing to the school office.

Late Slips and Early Release:

If a child arrives at school after 9:00 am, they must have a note signed by parent or carer explaining
the reason why they are late to school.

Children will not leave the school without parental permission. Parents must report to the office and
notify the school office if a child is leaving before 3:00 pm.

Nut Allergies at School:

As you are aware, at Annandale Public School we endeavour to be a nut free environment.

We have a responsibility as a school community to ensure our school is sage for all our children and that
conditions are conducive to full engagement in all learning activities.

I thank all students, staff and parents for working together and ensuring all children are safe and just as
importantly, their parents/caregivers feel safe as well.

FOODS NOT PERMITTED AT SCHOOL

Peanut butter
Nutella
Nut butters of any kind
Muesli bars with nuts
Biscuits with nuts
Chocolate bars with nuts
Nut snacks
Nut cereals or breakfast bars
Mixed dried fruit with nuts
Any nuts at all
